Basic classification of power distribution cabinets

Literally, a head cabinet is a cabinet at the end of a row of cabinets. In fact, the top cabinet is just a definition of equipment management and distribution cabinets. It is often placed at one end of a row of cabinets, but in fact it can be located anywhere in a row of cabinets, and can even be placed alone. The top cabinet is the top cabinet of a row of cabinet equipment.

It is usually called the front end cabinet and the end cabinet. Its main function is to supply power to the AC or direct load of the cabinet, and to perform functions such as power distribution, monitoring, measurement, protection, and alarm. The column head cabinet is similar to the cabinet type distribution box, and many circuit breakers are concentrated.

Power distribution column cabinets are referred to as column cabinets for short, and column cabinets are divided into ordinary column cabinets and precision column cabinets. Ordinary head cabinets are mainly used in communication equipment rooms and station transmission equipment rooms, installed at the head and tail of the equipment, and used in conjunction with framed communication trains and optical terminal trains. , and provide power distribution for communication equipment through the power distribution device in the equipment.

The precision top cabinet is an important part of the distribution of the entire computer room, but it is also easily overlooked. The current computer room equipment includes servers, air conditioners, UPS, fans, etc. Can be monitored at any time. However, the monitoring of power distribution in the computer room is blank. The traditional power distribution cabinet only has a few meters and a few switches. Even if the dynamic ring monitoring is done, it is only a secondary transformation (adding various modules) in the power distribution cabinet. This is cumbersome and ineffective.

The power distribution line in the computer room generally adopts two-way mains connection. It is first connected to the mains distribution box, part of it is connected to UPS, part of it is connected to air-conditioning lighting and ordinary sockets, and then connected to the UPS power distribution cabinet at the lower end of the UPS, and distributed to each row head cabinet. After passing the head cabinet, connect to the PDUs in each cabinet and then load.

Under normal circumstances, the power supply line of the column head cabinet adopts double power supply line. When one power supply system cannot be powered off, the other power supply is automatically put into operation to ensure the continuity of power supply.

In order to achieve short-circuit and overload protection, a molded case circuit breaker is used in front of the dual power supply to provide short-circuit and overload protection, and it also has an isolation function for easy maintenance. An electrical fire monitoring system, an electrical fire detector and a monitoring unit are generally required in the cabinet. Since the equipment in the equipment room is very sensitive to lightning strikes, surge protectors are usually used.

Molded case circuit breakers can be used for the main outlet circuit of the top cabinet, and leakage modules can be installed if necessary. The continuity of the power supply of the equipment in the computer room is very important. A power parameter measuring instrument is installed at the entrance of the train head cabinet, which can monitor the level of electrical parameters in real time, send out fault alarm signals in time, detect potential faults in advance, and monitor power consumption levels.

The power distribution module can be selected in the head cabinet as required. Modular structure facilitates disassembly and maintenance. This module allows users to quickly and flexibly add and delete circuits to meet the power consumption expansion needs of the computer room.
